pidgin-blinklight software package provides Blinks your ThinkPads ThinkLight upon new messages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pidgin-blinklight
pidgin-blinklight is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pidgin-blinklight package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pidgin-blinklight *
You will get with pidgin-blinklight package name, version, architecture and description in a table
